Consequently, flat rates for securing your electronic communications and ensuring the safety of your computing environment cannot be stated. Our off-site backup rates, however, are detailed below.
Each backup subscription comes with a free software package to automate the backup process. From your computer, data are transmitted over 128-bit encryption to multiple remote data centres located within the UK. The data centres themselves are in different geographic locations, ensuring that if one were to be lost or otherwise impacted by external events, your information remains safe and secure.
The data are also encrypted with 448-bit Blowfish encryption, the best encryption currently available. Most computers today use 40-bit and 128-bit encryption. A 40-bit key can typically be broken and the data accessed within a few hours by an average PC. A 128-bit key, it has been calculated, would take one billion PCs trying one billion keys per second. And then it would still take millions of years to break through it. Even with leaps in technology, it is thought that not even the entire energy output of the sun would be enough to break 448-bit Blowfish encryption.
With the backup package provided by our partners, your data is stored in 448-bit format. Only those with the right password and certification combination are able to access the data. Even if someone were to get your files, they would not be able to read them unless you provided the necessary identification phrases.
Our data backup system is approved by the FSA. It is used by multinational financial and technological firms like PriceWaterhouseCoopers and IBM. You will not find a more secure solution in use today.
The following are our basic rates for off-site backup. Each subscription includes 1 gigabyte (GB) of data storage per computer (desktop, laptop or server) at no extra cost.
- Fewer than 5 computers: £10 pcm for each desktop or laptop PC.
- 5 to 14 computers: £9 pcm for each desktop or laptop PC.
- More than 14 computers: £7 pcm for each desktop or laptop PC.
- Each server: £30 pcm for each.
